How Do I Create a Store Account

Creating a Store account is easy and straight forward. You can Register your store account from right here. The Username is optional but we do recommend it. Please fill out all the sections with * and then click on the Terms and Conditions box and click the Continue button.

You should receive in a few minutes an e-mail with a confirmation link for your new account, please click on that link and your account will be considered active.


How Do I Create a Community Account

Creating a Community account is easy and straight forward. You can Register your Community account from right here. You will be asked to agree to the Forum Terms of Use. Once you agree you will be asked to fill out your details and select a name, so the community knows how to address you in our forums. Your Community name can not be changed except by opening a Support Ticket and requesting it.

Let me take a moment to remind everyone to please choose a family-friendly Name and Avatar. ;)

Why Do I Need Two Accounts

Lock 'n Load Publishing is made up of two main areas, our Store, and our Community. The Store where we sell all of our board and digital games and Support Desk. The Community area is made up of our Forums, Media, Articles and Resources (download area). You do NOT need to have two accounts, but we HIGHLY recommend that you do. We are expanding the Community areas to soon include a Scenario Depot, Match Making, and a Browser Base Table Top play of our board games.

So we do require two different register accounts for each area. Why? We want to use the best options possible for what we do. We highly recommend that you set up accounts in both areas right from the start. Both site areas can use the same Username, Email, and Password if you choose.

I Have a Question Not Covered in the Knowledge Base

If you have a game question please post them in the forum for that game. If you have a question after reviewing the knowledge base then please open a Support Ticket and our staff will assist you.



How Many Devices Can I Install My Digital Products On

As many as you own, meaning no friends, co-workers, etc. We like to keep this as friendly so please support us by not giving out your game to anyone outside your immediate household.




Where Do I Find Game Errata or Updates

LnLP has set up a Resource section in our Community area you can find many great resources for our products. These extra resources are free to our customers. Here is a list of just a few of the items you will find.

PDF editions of our rule books, additional scenarios, maps, demos, VASSAL modules, walkthroughs, game add-ons, game expansions, guides, rule books in other languages, game variants, and game errata. Most digital updates are handled right through the game software, but variants, mods, and other items can also be found here.

What is a Battles On Demand Edition and What Do I Get

On some digital and download purchased products, you will receive an option to purchase a boxed edition for a slight additional charge plus any shipping and handling. The option for a box edition can ONLY be purchased at the time of your purchase the digital/download edition.

You will receive a full-color case and DVD with your serial number if one was issued. The box edition will also include on the DVD a full-color PDF edition of the manual.

Shipping and Delivery

Digital items are available at the time of purchase and will not need to be shipped.

Physical items are shipped and shipping times are estimated from our warehouse to you. Currently, our warehouse is located in Colorado. Our shipping cost is based on weight, your location and shipment method. When you go to purchase an item from us you will have a chance to review the different shipping options and costs.

We currently use the following shipping methods:

United States Postal Service (USPS)
United Parcel Service (UPS)
FedEx

Domestic Shipping Options (United States Only)

There are three domestic shipping options:

USPS Standard Delivery takes from 5 to 8 business days.
UPS Ground Delivery takes from 3 to 5 business days. 
FedEx Standard Delivery takes from 3 to 5 business days.

All of the above shipping options can be delivered faster but at a higher shipping cost.

International Shipping (including Canada)

Your order may be subject to additional Import/Duty Fees and/or VAT or other local taxes that are not reflected in your order total. Any such additional fees or taxes are the sole responsibility of the customer and may be charged at delivery.

Get A Discount Every Time with Our Loyalty System

Our new Loyalty system is simple and does all the work for you. The Loyalty system keeps tracks of your purchase history and applies you with a discount at checkout; that is applied to all of your purchases and for all products even PRE-ORDERS. This discount is visible right at checkout, and you never need to do anything. As you purchase more products over time, your discount will increase giving you even larger discounts. Your discount is made based on your purchases over time and NOT the amount that is in your cart. Your loyalty to Lock 'n Load Publishing is working for you NOW and every purchase going forward. 

We also went back and when we set up our new Loyalty system we also included your past purchases (If they were available) so many of you have some pretty nice discounts already available. It's just one of the ways Lock 'n Load Publishing is saying thank you for your support.



May I Change My Order After Order is Placed

Lock 'n Load Publishing has expanded our shipping services and we are using a fulfillment center here in the United States. This will help us move orders out a lost faster.

Our overseas customers should note that we are in the middle of opening fulfillment centers in Europe, Canada, and Australia. This will greatly lower the cost of shipping products to our customers overseas. Because of these new shipping services we can not change orders once they are placed in most cases. 

If any order needs to be adjusted please open a Support Ticket and tell us in detail what the issue is and what you like us to do.



I Think I was Charged Twice for My Order

Whenever you place an order on our Store you are sent and e-Mail confirmation number. Due to spam filters and other Internet issues, you may not receive this e-mail. Please always double-check your spam and junk folders. 

If you think you were overcharged please go to the Store and View Your Order History. You will be able to see all of your orders including how many Products and amount totals. 

If you found for any reason a mistake on your order, please open a Support Ticket. Please make sure to include the Order ID, Number or Products, Total Paid and button letting you view the entire invoice again.




How Do I Cancel My Pre-Orders

All your pre-orders and backorders will show up in your order history. You can cancel any pre-orders right from your order history page. You can find your Order History here. If you have any issues please open a Support Ticket.



Where Did My Reward Points Go

For those of you that have been using our LnLP store for a while know about our reward point system, The old reward system was good for building up points and allowing customers to receive discounts on products but was limited. You had to know how many award points you needed for a game, limited to what products you could use them on and you needed to remember to use them at checkout, etc.

Our new Loyalty system is simple and does all the work for you. You will now be able to place pre-orders with any other type of orders at the same time. Our new Loyalty system (Which is in place now) will also allow you to automatically receive discounts on all pre-orders as well as standard purchases.

When the pre-order is ready for final printing and shipment, you will be sent an email with a link to click on and pay for your pre-order at your discounted price. You will have up to seven days to do this, and if during the interval you decide not to purchase the pre-order you will need to do nothing. The pre-order will be canceled; you may order the game at any time at the current price. All your purchases and pre-orders can be found in your Order History in our store. You can review and cancel any pre-order right from your order history.

Damaged or Defective Merchandise

Defective Game Pieces: If you have purchased one of our current LnLP game titles and you discover that it has defective pieces and you live in North or South America, please open a Support TicketPlease take a photo of the Defective game part. Be sure to include your first and last name, mailing address, phone number (with area code), and email address for shipping purposes so we can send you your replacements. We'll get the correct pieces sent out to you as quickly as possible!


Our LnLP games are supported and there may not always be replacement parts available. hand. Unfortunately, we can’t provide replacements for out of print games or if we no longer have any replacement parts available.


How Secure is the LnLP Store

An unexpected error has occurred. Your purchase has not been completed

This error can occur when our system has encountered an issue with the transaction that you are attempting to make.  Test the issue once or twice more, ensuring that you are entering the correct billing information. Avoid spamming failed purchase attempts more than a few times.

Another reason can be if you are using a VPN/Proxies Disable or completely remove any IP proxy or VPN software that you may be using, restart your computer, and test your purchase again. All transactions that are initiated through anonymous proxies may be declined.

If you continue to encounter this error, please open a Support Ticket at our Support Desk and we will assist you further.


Why Was My Order Canceled?

Your order may have been canceled for one of the following reasons.

1) If the shipping and billing countries are different, it is possible the order will be canceled in order to deter fraud. If you believe this is why your order was canceled, please contact our Support Desk and we will help you validate a new order so that it can be shipped.

2) There was no PayPal transaction ID associated with your order. If you placed an order and paid via PayPal but the order was canceled, please submit a ticket and provide your PayPal transaction ID

If you a problem please provide all the details you have and open a Support Ticket to resolve your issues.


Store Statuses and What They Mean

LnLP Store uses a few different order statuses to help inform you as to what stage of the order process we are at.

The Statuses are listed below with their meanings

Processing - Your order been entered and we are waiting for payment approval. This status is for PayPal, Credit/Debit Cards.
Pending - Your order been entered and we waiting for confirmation of payment. This status is for wire transfers.
Processed - Your order has been entered and payment received. This status is used to show completed download purchases.
Completed - Your Order has been entered and payment has been confirmed or received.
Shipped - Your Order has now been boxed, shipped and a tracking number assigned to it. You can find your tracking number in your order history.

We will be using Crowdox as our pledge manager for our Kickstarter Campaigns. That means you’ll be able to manage your pledge amount for all the add-ons and enter your shipping address to complete your pledge/order.  Crowdox will be made available after the Kickstarter project closes.  We will send out an e-mail update to notify backers when the pledge manager is available.

What is Friendly Shipping for Kickstarter


We have hooked up with some great worldwide fulfillment companies and be able to offer friendly shipping to most locations.  Our shipping prices will be based upon approximate shipping weight-based in pounds.   Shipping will be charged during your post-Kickstarter campaign survey on which you will fill in your shipping address. Our pledge manager will use your shipping address to calculate and charge you for shipping your reward.

Steam Keys and How to Get Them - UPDATED


LnLP has completed our store system to allow us to provide Steam Keys to our customers. The process is simple.

1) Login to your account on the LnLP Store (http://store.lnlpublishing.com) with your account

Once you are logged in please go to your ACCOUNT section on the LnLP Store. You find it on the red menu bar on the right side.

2) Once you are on your account page it will look like the image below.

3) Now find your order number that has the products you want to apply for Steam Keys.

4) If a Steam icon is on a product line of a product, then that product is able to receive a Steam Key.

5) Once you find such a product, please click on the Steam icon and your Steam Keys will be assigned to you. The Steam Keys are not shown in the image below.

6) Once you have your Steam Keys you go to Steam and Select 'Games' in the menu (in Steam) and click on the 'Activate a Product on Steam'. Do this for each key.


How Do I Download My Digital Products/Re-download

When you purchase a product from LnLP, your Download Link is sent in your order confirmation email. If you ever need to download your product again, LnLP makes this easy. Every order you placed that has a Download is stored in our Store and can be found under your Account. You can find all your Downloads, with links to re-download them at any time.

How Many Times Can I Re-Download My Digital Products

UNLIMITED, we do not put any limits on how many time but we could put a pause on a product you purchase if we detect a lot downloading of a product happening in a short period of time. If you can't re-download a product, please open a Support Ticket and let us know what product and we will reset it for you.


How Do I Get My LnLP Issued Serial Keys Again

When you purchase a product from LnLP your Serial Key is sent in your confirmation Order email. If you ever need to find your Serial Key again LnLP makes this easy. Every order you placed that required a Serial Key is stored in our Store and can be found under your Account. You can find all Keys there including any Steam Keys you purchased from us.

From the Store main menu click on "Account" and then click on "My Serial Keys". That's it; all your keys are displayed with the date of order, order ID and the Product Name and Activation Code. Please note that the Activation Code and Serial Keys are the same things.

If you have any problem getting your Serial Key, please open a Support Ticket, Please make sure to state what Product Name and Order ID you are having a problem with.


What is the Difference between LnLP and Stream Serial Keys

When you purchase your digital products directly from LnLP Store you receive LnLP Serial Keys that allow you to install your digital products.  When an LnLP digital product is also available on Steam can request to receive a Steam Serial Key for that product.  The Serial Keys are not exchangeable between services.
If you have any problem getting your Serial Key, please open a Support Ticket, Please make sure to state what Product Name and Order ID you are having a problem with.

How to Select and Modify Your Forum Theme

The LnLP Community area has different themes you can choose from. You can change the theme style, texture background and the colors of many of the themes used in the Community area.


If you like to try a different theme you can change them at the bottom left of the forum you will find three options for editing and/or select a different theme.

Clicking on "Class Fixed Style" will open a window allowing you to change to any of the forum themes available. You will also find many forum themes listed as either Fixed or Fluid giving you a centered or full-screen forum layout.

"Next, is the AD Styler" clicking on this will open a box to allow you to change the colors, background texture, and the panel font.

Clicking the "Color Options" will open a color menu bar allowing you to select a color of your choice. If you end up taking the color changes to far, no problem. Clicking on the "Body Background Color" option and selecting the refresh button to reload your forum theme default settings.

How Do I Change My Name in the Forums & Community

Your Forum (Community name) name can not be changed except by opening a Support Ticket and requesting it. Please let our Support Staff know your current Forum name and what you would like to change it to and the reason why you are requesting the change.

Where Do I Report a Game Question or Bug Issues

For the quickest response, please DO NOT open a support ticket. Our forums are where our Developers, Designers, and the community hang out so it the best chance of getting a response. It's very likely that your fellow gamers have had similar questions or issues already. If you search around you can often find answers to your questions.

Please make sure to post your question in the specific game forum, so the right people see it. Please do not post in the general areas as this will just delay you getting the help you need.

How Do I Know What I Need to Play a Lock 'n Load Tactical Expansion

A game expansion will, of course, need a core/base game to play. Under our new management, we have changed this and agreed that a game expansion should not need another expansion to play. The previous management had expansion games requiring a core/base game and sometimes one if not two other expansion games. To help clear this up, we have added the word "Hero" somewhere in the game title to let you know it's a complete game and requires nothing else. All newly released expansion will all games needed on the back of the box or in the product listing from our store.



Do I Need Permission to Copy or Print a Manual

No, you may copy or print the manual yourself. You may even take the PDF manual edition and have a copy store print out a copy for you. Many Print Shops will not print PDF files without a release form. The section below is being added to our manuals to help in having the print shop meet its requirements for needing a release to be able to print or copy PDF file or one of our manuals.

The License is granted below is to make prints for personal use only. It is illegal and prohibited to use for any commercial use. Lock ‘n Load Publishing, LLC. (“Copyright Owner”), gives full permission to (“Customer”) to print the PDF document and it's imaging. The customer has the right to adjust and print these pages as desired.

Direct X Dialog, What it is and How to Use It

If you are having a problem with one of our Windows digital products, we may ask you for a Direct X Dialog file to help troubleshoot the problem. Please find the steps below to make this file.

1) In Windows OS please click on "Start".
2) Click "Run".
3) Type in "DxDiag" and click "OK".
4) Check through the tabs and perform all tests.
5) Click "Save All Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice.

In addition to the limitations set forth Terms of Use and Conditions, you will violate the Terms of Use if you in LnLP’s sole discretion (or others using your Account) do any of the following:

  • Harass, threaten, embarrass, or stalk or cause distress, unwanted attention or discomfort to another Member or Guest.
  • Post content or send Communications of any form impugning someone’s race, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, political beliefs, or ethnic heritage.
  • Transmit or facilitate the distribution of content or Communications that are harmful, abusive, racially or ethnically offensive, vulgar, sexually explicit, obscene, defamatory, infringing, invasive of personal privacy or publicity rights, or in a reasonable person’s view, objectionable.
  • Post or communicate “Hate speech.”
  • Organize or form or attempt to organize or form any groups online and/or among other Members or Guests based on slanderous or hate philosophies.

Lock ‘n Load Publishing Refunds and Exchange Policy


It is LnLP policy is that all sales are final, and we do not accept returns or issue refunds.  LnLP also feels one policy cannot fit all cases, and our customer satisfaction is what we want.

We understand at times there are extenuating circumstances we’re a return and or a refund are justified.  LnLP does not use any intrusive DRM for its digital products.  Since we have no way to validate your purchases after you receive them there is no way for us to remove games, even if we wanted too.

If you feel strongly that an exception should be made for a refund or exchange please contact us via our
